Treasury on the Plaza Wedding of Jasmine & Jermaine
Cats, dogs & cows
We watched as the map of St Augustine lit up the screen behind the reporter. It didn’t look good and his words confirmed it.
“…avoid being outdoors today folks. There’s going to be a significant thunderstorm for most of the day.”
We opened the blinds of our hotel room and stared at the looming darks clouds outside. Guess Mr. Weatherman wasn’t lying today! We got ready and headed on over to meet Jasmine & Jermaine at The Treasury. As it began to rain cats, dogs and cows we stepped in fully prepared with a “don’t worry about it” speech. Jasmine and Jermaine probably should have given us the speech, because when we arrived to their rooms they were chill. They weren’t oblivious to the weather. They were more excited to marry each other than worry about the rain.
Use it or lose it
It was Labor Day 2011. Jasmine walked into the college party and scanned the unfamiliar faces in the room. Her friend, Ben had invited her over for games and mingling. As she moved through the room getting to know everyone, she caught the attention of a few guys who starting hitting on her. Jermaine happened to be one of the few men who didn’t. After a bit of conversation with each other, they exchanged Twitter handles. Jasmine later sent Jermaine a direct message. A few days later Jermaine met with an annoyed Jasmine.
“Did you get my message?”
Jermaine, completely unaware of what Jasmine was referring to said “no.” As she began to tell Jermaine of the direct message she sent him via Twitter, he opened his account to find her message –
“Here is my number, USE IT or LOSE IT”
Not wanting to be in Jasmine bad books, Jermaine used it! lol
We loved the details on Jermaine’s custom tux, especially the little touches to let Jasmine know what belongs to her! Can you tell what we’re talking about? 🙂
Gotta love Jasmine and her twerking! lol She was an ecstatic bride!
This dress is absolutely stunning!
Classic details make a beautiful statement
Remember that thunderstorm we were talking about? It was still going on during their bridal portraits.
Come on somebody!! These two came ready!
Treasury on the Plaza wedding
Tucked between a catholic church and a coffee shop in the oldest city of Florida you’ll find a regal building. You could almost miss it, if its deep red art deco accents and brick steps didn’t make you stop and stare. Tourists flock to the oldest city in Florida, most unaware of the treasure of this place. It’s a wedding venue now, but this building used to house all the cash. Yup – the Treasury on the plaza was once a central bank in the 1920’s. Steeped in history, it has since been remodeled as the destination of luxury and sophistication for couples looking for a grand wedding experience. And the pièce de résistance – the original vault from its banking days that doubles as a bar!
The day after the wedding, we met up at sunrise to capture some more moments with them around town. There are so many beautiful streets in St. Augustine!
Jasmine and Jermaine – thank you so so much for trusting us with every step of the journey so far. We love you and wish you all the blessings marriage has to offer!
